i’ve got to find a better way than we do it now
need to answer question that i don't want to find out
like where it is you’re going and just where have you been
how many were here before, how many let you in from the rain
let me in from the rain
now dripping wet with alcohol, searching for a bathroom stall
i can't recall were you there holding me
then where this blood all coming from
i feel fine but just incase please keep me company for a while
i could use some company for a while
while finding lines that someone drew,
stepped over and then we knew
just how much further i had to go
all in all its not that bad, the time we shared the moments had
sad songs we all sang, when you were feeling blue
and if i had the heart, i would wear it on my sleeve
try a build a balance between anger, lust and greed
something to hold onto just to keep me on the ground
something to hide under while the rain is coming down
is there some better way than fate has arranged
i know you’ve tried but little has changed
there’s a mute giant in a hospital bed
a funeral pyre on the street where we lived
oh lord, you're taking things we just can't afford
and everyday you want more and more
seems like everyday you want more and more
yes everyday you want more and more.....
